Controlling exposure is important to mastering “time” in photography. Long shutter opening introduces movement blur. Very long exposures let you do some even more extreme – and fun – things. Here are some ideas.

Projects involving long exposures

Every DSLR has the ability to give long exposures up to 30 seconds by setting the shutter time using the Tv or Shutter setting. You can do some really cool things like make water take a velvety texture. Or you can make people disappear! In fact you can make anything moving disappear.
