Deconvolution; Deconvolution analysis

General: A process to resolve an entity, artifact or item into constituent or component elements. Also the process of resolving something complex into something less complicated or simple.
eg. “…the photographer worked through deconvolution of the scene before choosing the final composition”.

Deconvolution analysis: the improvement of the resolution of digital images by a mathematical algorithm which aims to separate information from damage artifacts in order to remove or smooth out the damage. Various image editing applications use deconvolution analysis to reduce or improve the image resolution.
